When you submit your interest form for volunteer opportunities at Rogue Valley Street Dogs, we will talk with you about your interests and the type of work you'd like to help us with. Here are the most common types of activities we are always seeking volunteers to help us with:
Outreach Events and Pop-Up Clinics
Transporting Pets to Medical Services
Deliveries and Pickups
Education and Resources
Fundraising
Administration
These opportunities are a great way to meet the people (and their pets!).) we serve. During the events, our volunteers help us prepare the spay and neuter clinic, coordinate food and gear, and assist with vaccination procedures. We need your help bagging food, sorting donations, maintaining inventories, and transporting supplies.
Our compassionate volunteers serve a tremendous need for our unhoused and very low-income community by transporting pets to obtain their medical assistance. We need your help transporting dogs and cats to spay/neuter clinics and other medical appointments. Please note that we do not transport people—we only transport their pets.
If you have a reliable vehicle and are physically able to pack and unpack goods, we need your help. We rely on our volunteers to help us deliver food and supplies to program recipients and to pick up donations from businesses and people in our community.
An integral part of our operations is educating our community about our services. From getting the word out to people who need medical care for their pets to helping people understand how our services support the community and how they can help, our education work never ends.
We are very excited that you are interested in volunteering with our organization! To get started, simply fill out our Volunteer Interest Form. We'll get back to you shortly to discuss your interests and match you with opportunities where you can best use your skills. With help from caring individuals like you, we can work together to make a difference in the lives of pets and their owners and reduce overcrowding in local animal shelters.
