Talent non-profit wins veterinary award
“A Talent-based non-profit is one of just six to get the Veterinary Service Award from the Oregon Veterinary Medical Association.
Rogue Valley Street Dogs has been focused on improving the quality of life for pets affected by houselessness and poverty since 2013.
The organization provides veterinary help, including spay and neuter services, as well as administering shots.
Twice each month in Medford, it hands out food and pet supplies to those in need.
Last year the organization distributed 10,000 pounds of food.
Laurie Cuddy, the president of the board, says sterilizing pets is their focus.
“So, so to me that’s the number one way to cut down on the overpopulation and decrease the suffering and just have animals be healthier and be able to have people keep their pets with them,” Cuddy said.
The organization accepts all kinds of donations. Visit the Rogue Valley Street Dogs website to learn more.”
