KDRV Story: “Breaking Down Barriers to Pet Care with Rogue Valley Street Dogs”

On January 24, 2025, we were honored to have the reporting team from KDRV visit our Outreach Event to learn more about how our organization serves the community. Their team got to see our volunteers in action and learn how we were able to help over 500 pets living in poverty last year. Best of all, they produced an amazing video to show on the evening news to broaden our community’s awareness in their news story, “KDRV: Breaking Down Barriers to Pet Care with Rogue Valley Street Dogs.”

“People love their animals, and they want to take care of their animals,” Laurie Cuddy, the president of RVSD, said. “The lack of access to care–and to funds–is just huge.”

We need support from dedicated community members like you to continue our mission. We prioritize providing free spay and neuter services for pets living in poverty because we feel it’s not only the best way to keep pets healthy but also prevent unwanted litters from being abandoned or filling up our animal shelters. The average spay or neuter costs between $300 and $500 per pet. Your donation, no matter its size, is critical for allowing us to fund these services.
