Our Mission: Improving the lives of pets living in poverty.
Every pet deserves love, care, and a chance at a healthy life. At Rogue Valley Street Dogs, we're dedicated to making this possible for pets living with unhoused or very low-income individuals in our community. By contributing to our organization, you help fund and facilitate essential support services, including spay-neuter programs, wellness care, and access to food and supplies. Your donation to Rogue Valley Street Dogs is essential to providing this much-needed care to pets in need within our community.
The Cost of Prevention and How You Can Help
Providing free spay and neuter services is one of the most impactful ways Rogue Valley Street Dogs can help keep pets healthy, but it comes at a cost.
The average spay or neuter procedure for a pet in our program costs between $300 and $500—a significant financial burden for our organization.
These costs include pre-operative exams, anesthesia, pain medication, and post-operative care to ensure the pet heals properly. We rely on partnerships with local veterinarians and low-cost clinics to perform these procedures. This means we must cover every dollar of the medical expenses through donations, grants, and fundraising efforts.
Every contribution, no matter the size, goes directly toward giving a pet in need a healthier future.
When you donate to Rogue Valley Street Dogs, you are not just giving money—you are giving hope. You are preventing suffering before it starts, keeping beloved pets in the arms of those who need them most.

How Your Donation to Rogue Valley Street Dogs Helps
Every dollar makes a difference for a dog or cat living on the streets or in poverty conditions. Your contributions help support:
- Spay & Neuter Services: Prevent unplanned litters and reduce overpopulation in local shelters.
- Veterinary Care: Ensure pets receive essential medical treatment and preventive care.
- Food & Supplies: Provide essential pet food and items to alleviate the financial strain on low-income pet owners.
- Emergency Support: Help cover unexpected needs to keep pets safe, healthy, and with their families.
Your donation can literally make the difference between life and death for a pet living on the street or in poverty. The people we serve provide the best perspectives about how our organization has impacted their pets' lives:
As of 2022, the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development estimated that there are about 582,462 unhoused individuals in the United States. Additionally, nearly 11.6% of people in the U.S. live in poverty. For these people, a companion dog or cat provides many benefits to their owners, from being a reason to get up each day to providing a much-needed snuggle after a difficult day. For many, their pet is their only constant and dependable companion.
In addition to limiting unwanted litters that end up overcrowding our local animal shelters, our spay and neuter services, veterinary clinics, vaccination vouchers, and other resources help keep these pets healthy and together with their owners.
As a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization, we rely on the generosity of donors like you to continue our mission. Your donation makes it possible to provide critical services to those who need it most, preventing countless pets from entering the shelter system and keeping them safe with the people who love them. Together, we can make a lasting impact on the lives of pets and their owners in our community.
